Aerobic actinomycetes causing nocardiosis, GRT-(Gordona, Rhodococcus, Tsukamurella) infections, actinomycetomas, dermatophilosis and extrinsic allergic alveolitis, including etiology, epidemiology and pathogenesis of the diseases are described. The name "actinomycetosis" for all these diseases has been proposed.
