Effect of quercetin on the number of blastomeres, zona pellucida thickness, and hatching rate of mouse embryos exposed to actinomycin D: An experimental study

open access: yesInternational Journal of Reproductive BioMedicine, 2018
Background: Quercetin is a flavonoid with the ability to improve the growth of embryos in vitro, and actinomycin D is an inducer of apoptosis in embryonic cells.

Disruption of the SNRPF–DDX24–E2F4 Feedback Loop Uncouples Splicing and Transcriptional Regulation to Suppress Ovarian Cancer Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies SNRPF as a critical oncogenic driver in ovarian cancer. By regulating a self‐sustaining SNRPF–DDX24–E2F4 feedback loop through intron retention and nonsense‐mediated decay, SNRPF couples RNA splicing with transcriptional regulation to promote tumor progression.

The RNA‐Binding Protein PARN Remodeled 3′ UTR Structure Defines Poly(A)‐Loading Sites to Mediate Immunoglobulin Homeostasis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Class Switch Recombination (CSR) is essential for generating high‐affinity antibody isotypes from IgM during adaptive humoral responses. Despite well‐established roles for various transcription factors, whether CSR is subject to dedicated post‐transcriptional control represents a significant gap in knowledge.

Exploring the biocontrol potential of Streptomyces sp. B2008 through mechanistic insights into the antifungal effect of actinomycin D

open access: yesBiological Control
Our previous study revealed that a mangrove-sediments derived actinomycete, Streptomyces sp. B2008, could produce antibiotic actinomycin D and effectively inhibit the growth of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp.

DMS‐MaPseq and DREEM Analyses Implicate the Critical Role of RNA Structural Dynamics in Turnip Yellow Mosaic Virus Pathogenicity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
RNA structural profiling of Turnip Yellow Mosaic Virus by DMS‐MaPseq and DREEM analyses uncover that viral genome‐wide RSS is highly complicated and heterogeneous, with alternative RSSs widely distributed across the genome. Notably, the viral 3’ tRNA‐like structure adopts alternative conformations in vivo.

Master Regulator SMC1A, Stabilized by N6‐Methyladenosine Reader IGF2BP1, Promotes HCC Progression Through Facilitating Enhancer–Promoter Interaction of Nestin

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
IGF2BP1‐mediated m6A stabilization sustains SMC1A expression, enabling cohesin‐associated chromatin regulation of Nestin in hepatocellular carcinoma. This work reveals an epitranscriptomic‐chromatin‐cytoskeletal regulatory axis linked to malignant phenotypes and identifies SMC1A as a biologically relevant vulnerability in HCC.

Management of life-threatening uterine hemorrhage in a young patient with choriocarcinoma

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Medical and Health Research, 2015
A 22-year-old primigravida who underwent medical abortion at 45 days of amenorrhea was diagnosed to have choriocarcinoma by histopathological examination after dilatation and curettage (D and C) for persistent bleeding per vaginum.

KRT14 Drives Basal Muscle‐Invasive Bladder Cancer Progression and Lung Metastasis by Directly Binding to and Stabilizing IGF2BP1

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We identified a Krt14+ Igf2bp1+ bladder cancer population linked to EMT. Mechanistically, KRT14 stabilizes and transports IGF2BP1 to invasive protrusions, initiating a positive feedback loop that drives metastasis and poor outcomes. ABSTRACT Basal‐type muscle‐invasive bladder cancer (BMIBC) is characterized by aggressive metastasis and poor prognosis ...

Comparison between single-agent chemotherapy in low-risk gestational trophoblastic neoplasia

open access: yesCaspian Journal of Internal Medicine, 2023
Background: Low-risk gestational trophoblastic neoplasia could be cured in the case of appropriate management with single-agent chemotherapy. This study was carried out to compare the efficacy of single-dose methotrexate versus Actinomycin-D in low-risk ...

Epidermal METTL1‐Mediated m7G Modification Drives Psoriatic Inflammation by Stabilizing Bdkrb1 and Orchestrating Neutrophil Recruitment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study unveils an unrecognized pro‐inflammatory epitranscriptomic checkpoint in psoriasis. By installing m7G modifications on the 5′ UTR of Bdkrb1 mRNA, METTL1 enhances receptor stability to orchestrate keratinocyte‐driven neutrophil recruitment via p38 MAPK signaling.
