Activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) in clotted blood samples

FREQUENCY OF PROLONGED ACTIVATED PARTIAL THROMBOPLASTINE TIME (APTT) IN LIVER CIRRHOSIS.
BACKGROUND: Liver cirrhosis is very common disease in medical practice. Chronic Liver diseaseis marked by the gradual destruction of liver tissues over time. Severe liver disease falls under thiscategory including cirrhosis of liver and fibrosis. Chronic damage to the liver slowly replaces normalfunctioning liver tissue, progressively diminish blood ...

Coagulation Parameters as a Prognostic Factor for Mortality in a Neonate with Duodenal Obstruction
Background: Although the mortality cases of duodenal obstruction are only about 5%, this abnormality remains a burden in pediatric surgery. Several conditions can worsen a patient’s outcome and a proper understanding of the coagulation parameters is ...

Study of coagulation hemostasis in rats under conditions of induced general moderate hypothermia
The use of induced hypothermia in clinical practice can lead to coagulopathy, increasing the risk of peri- and postoperative bleeding. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of cooling the body to moderate hypothermia on the hemostatic ...

Abstract Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a common and severe complication of rhabdomyolysis (RM), and early risk stratification remains challenging because of its multifactorial and heterogeneous nature. We developed and externally validated an interpretable machine learning (ML) model for early prediction of AKI in RM across traumatic and non‐traumatic ...

Heterogeneous effects of donor‐related risk factors in 954 pediatric liver transplantations
Abstract Objectives Accepting a suitable donor for a child awaiting pediatric liver transplantation (pLT) is increasingly challenging. Donor‐specific risk factors influence post‐transplant outcomes, but evidence in pediatric patients remains inconsistent.
