From PID to Active Disturbance Rejection Control

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2009
Active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) can be summarized as follows: it inherits from proportional-integral-derivative (PID) the quality that makes it such a success: the error driven, rather than model-based, control law; it takes from modern control theory its best offering: the state observer; it embraces the power of nonlinear feedback and ...

Event-Triggered Active Disturbance Rejection Control

2021
The past few years have seen the attention and rapid developments in event-triggered sampled-data systems, in which the effect of event-triggered sensor measurements and controller updates is explored in controller analysis and design. This book offers the first systematic treatment of event-triggered sampled-data control system design using active ...

Active Disturbance Rejection Control for Delayed Electromagnetic Docking of Spacecraft in Elliptical Orbits

IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 2022
In this article, an active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) scheme is proposed for the electromagnetic docking of spacecraft in the presence of time-varying delay, fault signals, external disturbances, and elliptical eccentricity.

Analysis and Design of Active Disturbance Rejection Control with Improved Extended State Observer for Systems with Measurement Noise

IEEE transactions on industrial electronics (1982. Print), 2022
This paper presents a new method that employs active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) paradigm to handle the control problem for a class of nonlinear systems with unknown disturbances and measurement noise.

Fractional active disturbance rejection control

ISA Transactions, 2016
A fractional active disturbance rejection control (FADRC) scheme is proposed to improve the performance of commensurate linear fractional order systems (FOS) and the robust analysis shows that the controller is also applicable to incommensurate linear FOS control.

Tracking and Synchronization Control Strategy of Vehicle Dual-Motor Steer-by-Wire System via Active Disturbance Rejection Control

IEEE/ASME transactions on mechatronics, 2023
A novel vehicle dual-motor steer-by-wire (SBW) system is proposed to improve the reliability and safety of traditional SBW system. However, the biggest challenge of dual-motor SBW is its tracking and synchronization control issues.

Active disturbance rejection control for MEMS gyroscopes

2008 American Control Conference, 2008
A new control method is presented to drive the drive axis of a MEMS gyroscope to resonance and regulate the output amplitude of the axis to a fixed level. It is based on a unique active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) strategy, which actively estimates and compensates for internal dynamic changes of the plant and external disturbances in real time.

Synthesis of Active Disturbance Rejection Control

Herald of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University. Series Instrument Engineering, 2020
Synthesis of Active Disturbance Rejection Control (ADRC) has been discussed in this work. Two main approaches have been presented for the second-order ADRC: Linear ADRC and nonlinear ADRC. A design procedure for the three main components of ADRC: controller, estimator, and disturbance rejection scheme has been presented in each approach.
