Active magnetic bearing condition monitoring
In this paper, condition monitoring of the internal parts of a radial active magnetic bearing (AMB) system is performed by means of Cepstrum analysis, Wigner-Ville Distributions (WVD) and enveloped Equi-Sampled Discrete Fourier transforms (ESDFT). Sensor faults, power amplifier failures and controller faults were induced in both the simulation and ...

Suppression of Harmonic Current in Magnetic Bearing–Rotor System with Redundant Structure
The magnetic bearing–rotor system has the advantages of no mechanical friction and active vibration control. A magnetic bearing with redundant structures provides an effective method to apply fault-tolerant control to the magnetic bearing–rotor system ...

Dynamics of active magnetic thrust-bearings.
A linearlized model considering the effect of eddy currents is shown to be useful for the analysis of the dynamics of active magnetic thrust-bearings, in which electromagnet cores are composed of solid steel. The dynamics of a magnetic control-force is modeled by the first-order time-lag system with unknown parameters : a gain and a time constant.
