A Method for Identification and Adjustment of Key Variables for Power Flow Convergence in Bulk Power Systems Based on Unbalanced Power Characteristics of Intermediate Power Flow

open access: yesEnergies
In the operation mode arrangement of bulk power systems, unreasonable reactive power injection data at nodes tend to result in power flow calculation non-convergence.

Transient Power Angle Stability Control for Grid-Forming MMC-HVDC Receiving-End Converter Station Based on MPC

open access: yesIEEE Access
To address the issues of power angle instability and oscillations in grid-forming Modular Multilevel Converter (MMC) stations caused by AC grid voltage sags in flexible HVDC transmission systems, this paper proposes a transient power angle stability ...

Performance of Automatic Gain Adjustment in a Shunt Active Filter Intended for Installation on Power Distribution Systems

open access: yesIEEJ Transactions on Industry Applications, 2002
AbstractThis paper discusses automatic gain adjustment in a fully‐digital‐controlled shunt active filter intended for installation on power distribution systems. This is the first step in cooperative control of multiple shunt active filters based on voltage detection for harmonic damping throughout power distribution systems.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

A High-voltage Dynamic Var Compensation Device with Active Power Transfer Function

open access: yesKongzhi Yu Xinxi Jishu, 2016
At present, dynamic var compensation device such as static var generator (SVG) just only output reactive power and doesn’t have active power adjustment ability. It proposed a novel high voltage dynamic var compensation device and introduced its principle

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Fast Transient Modulation for a Step Load Change in a Dual-Active-Bridge Converter with Extended-Phase-Shift Control

open access: yesEnergies, 2018
The manipulation of the bidirectional power in a dual-active-bridge converter relies on the adjustment of several phase-shift angles. Improper implementation of those adjustments during the transient process of a step load change may induce transient DC ...
