Coherent and Noncoherent Joint Processing of Sonar for Detection of Small Targets in Shallow Water
A coherent-noncoherent joint processing framework is proposed for active sonar to combine diversity gain and beamforming gain for detection of a small target in shallow water environments.

The solution‐coating of a new isoindigo‐based conjugated polymer is systematically tuned to achieve high charge carrier mobility in OFETs. It is shown that solution‐shearing from high boiling point solvents yields aligned semiconducting thin films with optimized OFET characteristics.

Scattering statistics of rock outcrops: Model-data comparisons and Bayesian inference using mixture distributions [PDF]
The probability density function of the acoustic field amplitude scattered by the seafloor was measured in a rocky environment off the coast of Norway using a synthetic aperture sonar system, and is reported here in terms of the probability of false ...

CoRoFR: Community Detection of Feature Graph Improves Feature Selection Using Robust Fuzzy Rough Set
In machine learning, features often function as communities in many tasks, especially in medicine. However, existing feature selection methods struggle to mine feature collaborations, which can boost predictive performance. Moreover, they are noise‐sensitive, leading to suboptimal feature selection and accuracy degradation.

ABSTRACT We present a study that combines several marine geophysical techniques to detect and map archaeological sites from the Roman period in the shallow waters of the Venice Lagoon, Italy. We employed marine electrical resistivity tomography (M‐ERT), a drone‐based unmanned surface vehicle (USV) multibeam sonar, and subbottom profiler technology to ...

For most conventional bionic signal design methods, they cannot construct high-similarity bionic signals to match those complex cetacean sounds because they are only based on relatively simple bionic signal models.

Study on Underwater Target Tracking Technology Based on an LSTM–Kalman Filtering Method
In the marine environment, underwater targets are often affected by interference from other targets and environmental fluctuations, so traditional target tracking methods are difficult to use for tracking underwater targets stably and accurately.
