Ultra‐High‐Throughput Discovery of Multifunctional Polyphenolic Coatings on Droplet Microarrays

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
An ultra‐high‐throughput (UHT) combinatorial strategy enables the miniaturized synthesis and screening of ≈30 000 polyamine‐polyphenolic (PaPp) coatings using droplet microarrays (DMA). This approach reveals hundreds of previously unknown fluorescent, redox‐active, and antibacterial materials, including multifunctional, cell‐compatible surfaces ...

ACUTE INTESTINAL INFECTIONS IN CHILDREN ASSOCIATED WITH CANDIDIASIS INFECTION

open access: yes
This study examines the clinical progression of acute intestinal infections (AII) in children aged 6 months to 3 years, who were hospitalized for diarrhea of unclear origin linked to candidiasis infection. The indiscriminate use of broad-spectrum antibiotics is recognized as a factor contributing to the proliferation of Candida spp.

Information Transmission Strategies for Self‐Organized Robotic Aggregation

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
In this review, we discuss how information transmission influences the neighbor‐based self‐organized aggregation of swarm robots. We focus specifically on local interactions regarding information transfer and categorize previous studies based on the functions of the information exchanged.

[The characteristics of the intestinal Escherichia microflora in patients with acute intestinal infections].

open access: yesZhurnal mikrobiologii, epidemiologii i immunobiologii, 1994
The content of enterobacteria in fecal samples obtained from 1,146 patients with acute enteric infections was studied. In the first days of the disease about 70% of the patients were found to have abundant and highly diversified intestinal microflora with Escherichia contamination of feces constituting 10(6)-10(7) microbial cells/g in children and 10(7)

PREVENTION OF ACUTE INTESTINAL INFECTIONS IN CHILDREN

open access: yes
It is impossible to overestimate the relevance of the problem of acute infectious diarrhea in children today. Widespread prevalence, high incidence, universal susceptibility - these are the main epidemiological points that explain the interest in acute intestinal infections (AEI) among researchers and practitioners.
