TRIM47 Regulates Energy Metabolism via Glycolytic Reprogramming to Drive Hepatocellular Carcinoma Progression and Represents an Efficient Therapeutic Target

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies TRIM47 as a key driver of liver cancer progression by promoting glycolysis through ubiquitin‐mediated degradation of the gluconeogenic enzyme FBP1. TRIM47 enhances glucose uptake, lactate and ATP production, and tumor growth and metastasis.

Severe renal failure in acute bacterial pyelonephritis: Do not forget corticosteroids

open access: yesSaudi Journal of Kidney Diseases and Transplantation, 2010
Acute renal failure (ARF) is a rare complication of acute pyelonephritis in adult immunocompetent patients. Recovery of renal function usually occurs if antibiotics are promptly initiated.

Mettl3‐Mediated m6A Modification Represents a Novel Therapeutic Target for FSGS

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study explores the roles of Mettl3‐induced N6‐methyladenosine (m6A) modifications in Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS). The findings reveal that inhibition of Mettl3 results in podocyte injury by modulating the TJP1CDC42 pathway. Moreover, Administration of N6‐methyladenosine attenuates the FSGS phenotype in WT mice induced by Adriamycin ...

Anemia and Thrombocytopenia in Acute and Chronic Renal Failure

open access: yesInternational Journal of Hematology-Oncology and Stem Cell Research, 2013
Background: Acute renal failure describes as a syndrome by rapid decline in the ability of the kidney to eliminate waste products, regulate acid–base balance, and manage water homeostasis.

Annexin A13 Protects Against Acute Kidney Injury by Inactivating TGF‐β/Smad3 Signaling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ANXA13 is negatively regulated by Smad3 and exerts its protective role in AKI by inactivating TGF‐β/Smad3 signaling and Smad3‐p21 cell cycle arrest pathway through binding to TβRI, inhibiting the interaction between TβRI and TβRII, thereby suppressing TβRI phosporylation.

Rupestonic Acid of Artemisia Rupestris L. Extract Treats Pulmonary Fibrosis in COPD by Targeting TGF‐β1

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
RA of EEAR inhibits TGF‐β1 ubiquitination and changes conformation by target binding TGF‐β1, regulating TGF‐β1/Smad2/3 signaling pathway. Thus it down‐regulated downstream protein expression, inhibited EMT and collagen deposition of ECM, in order to EEAR preventing PF in COPD.
