Protonated decafluorobenzophenone and the decafluorobenzophenone–arsenic pentafluoride adduct

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section C, Volume 81, Issue 10, Page 577-583, October 2025.
Protonated decafluorobenzophenone (perfluorobenzophenone) and its corresponding AsF5 adduct were synthesized by reaction of the ketone with AsF5 using anhydrous HF and liquid SO2, respectively, as solvents, and their crystal structures were determined. The reaction of decafluorobenzophenone [perfluorobenzophenone, (C6F5)2CO] with AsF5 in anhydrous HF ...

Microbial diversity and function in the rhizosphere microbiome: Driving forces and monitoring approaches

open access: yesAgrosystems, Geosciences &Environment, Volume 8, Issue 3, September 2025.
Abstract As an ecological unit, the rhizosphere microbiome preserves an enormous and largely unexplored diversity of microbes that play essential roles in plant health and soil functions. Omics technologies encompassing high‐throughput approaches such as metagenomics, metatranscriptomics, and metaproteomics provide helpful tools to unravel the ...

Coordinative Ring‐Opening Polymerization of Limonene Carbamate Toward Phosgene‐ and Isocyanate‐Free Polyurethane

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, Volume 64, Issue 33, August 11, 2025.
This study presents a phosgene‐ and isocyanate‐free route to terpene‐based polyurethanes using (R)‐limonene as a bio‐based feedstock. Through ring‐opening polymerization (ROP), limonene carbamate (LU) is converted into polyurethane (PLU) with high efficiency.

Advances in Ligand‐Driven Pd‐Catalyzed C─H Functionalizations: Recent Insights and Updates

open access: yesChemCatChem, Volume 17, Issue 15, August 7, 2025.
The most significant advances in ligand‐driven Pd‐catalyzed organic synthesis over the past two years are presented. Processes involving C─H activation of substrates, avoiding their prefunctionalization are illustrated. Both the activity and selectivity of the catalyst depend on the design of the ligands (pyridones, pyridines, amino acids, phosphines ...

Bacterial Diversity in Deep‐Sea Sediments of the North Atlantic Ocean and Their Biosynthesis of Secondary Metabolites [PDF]

open access: yesEnviron Microbiol Rep
In this study, we isolated culturable bacteria associated with oceanic sediments and studied their production of secondary metabolites using metabolomics and genetic screening. Bacteria were cultivated from depths as great as 2000 m below sea level, with the majority of culturable taxa from all sampling sites belonging to the Pseudomonadota phylum. Our
