KOtBu as a Single Electron Donor? Revisiting the Halogenation of Alkanes with CBr4 and CCl4
The search for reactions where KOtBu and other tert-alkoxides might behave as single electron donors led us to explore their reactions with tetrahalomethanes, CX4, in the presence of adamantane.

Geometric Nonuniformity Localizes Valence Orbitals in Gold Clusters: Case Study on [Au23(SC6H11)16]–
The electronic structure of [Au23(SC6H11)16]–, a monolayer‐protected gold cluster with a nonuniform Au13 core, was investigated. Anion photoelectron spectroscopy and density functional theory calculations revealed that the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and HOMO‐1 are localized on the two triangular Au3 units at the ends of the Au13 core ...

Light‐transparent, cage‐type porous organic salts (POSs) function as nanoreactors that heterogenize molecularly defined photocatalysts through size exclusion. Photocatalysts are encapsulated intact during crystallization, providing confined yet accessible reaction fields under visible light without catalyst modification.

Electrical characterization of MIM capacitor comprises an adamantane film at room temperature
We fabricated a new metal-insulator-metal capacitor at room temperature, comprising a ∼90 nm thin low–k adamantane film on a Si substrate. The surface morphology of deposited organic film was investigated by using scanning electron microscopy and Raman ...

Adamantane-1-ammonium acetate [PDF]
In the title compound, C(10)H(18)N(+)·C(2)H(3)O(2) (-), the ammonium H atoms of the cation are linked to three acetate anions via N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming a chain structure extending along the b axis.

Three‐component thio‐ and carbo‐boration reactions to form functionalised benzoxaborinines and benzazaborinines are reported. The nucleophile scope includes thioethers, thiols, and (hetero)arenes. Mechanistic studies revealed a disparity between thioboration using thioethers and using thiols.
