Adaptive method of similarity detection of user profiles on online social networks [PDF]
The paper presents a method, based on graph and network theory, which allows to detect cloned user profiles on Online Social Networks. Moreover, an idea of similarity containers, which gives an opportunity to incorporate importance and context of data ...

Profiles of Adaptation in Two Similar Viruses
Abstract The related bacteriophages ϕX174 and G4 were adapted to the inhibitory temperature of 44° and monitored for nucleotide changes throughout the genome. Phage were evolved by serial transfer at low multiplicity of infection on rapidly dividing bacteria to select genotypes with the fastest rates of reproduction.

Tensor decomposition is used for many web and user data analysis operations from clustering, trend detection, anomaly detection, to correlation analysis. However, many of the tensor decomposition schemes are sensitive to noisy data, an inevitable problem in the real world that can leadt o false conclusions.

Atmospheric Refractivity Estimation from Radar Sea Clutter Using Novel Hybrid Model of Genetic Algorithm and Artificial Neural Networks [PDF]
This paper is focused on solving the inversion problem of refractivity from clutter (RFC) technique. A novel hybrid model is developed that can estimate the atmospheric refractivity (M profile) with a high accuracy, for surface based duct case, which is ...

ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...

Bayesian Adaptive Reconstruction of Profile Optima and Optimizers [PDF]
Given a function depending both on decision parameters and nuisance variables, we consider the issue of estimating and quantifying uncertainty on profile optima and/or optimal points as functions of the nuisance variables. The proposed methods are based on interpolations of the objective function constructed from a finite set of evaluations.

Adaptation to suspension growth: analysing the surface of suspension growth adapted Chinese hamster ovary cells [PDF]
Many bio-pharmaceutical production processes are based upon the use of mammalian cell lines, such as Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells, capable of proliferation as single cells in suspension in a synthetic environment.

ABSTRACT Background Sickle cell disease (SCD) is a chronic, inherited hemoglobinopathy that requires frequent hospitalization for disease‐related complications. Canadian data on inpatient care is limited. This study compared caregiver‐reported hospital experiences of children with SCD to those with cystic fibrosis (CF), a chronic, autosomal recessive ...

ABSTRACT Background An internal tandem duplication in the gene encoding Fms‐like tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3‐ITD) is associated with high relapse risk and poor prognosis in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and plays a crucial role in treatment decisions. Measurable residual disease (MRD) analysis of FLT3‐ITD during and after treatment has shown prognostic ...
