Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Rethinking plastic waste: innovations in enzymatic breakdown of oil‐based polyesters and bioplastics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Plastic pollution remains a critical environmental challenge, and current mechanical and chemical recycling methods are insufficient to achieve a fully circular economy. This review highlights recent breakthroughs in the enzymatic depolymerization of both oil‐derived polyesters and bioplastics, including high‐throughput protein engineering, de novo ...

BLUE filter with fused range estimation

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
The non-linear filter is subject to divergence for close-range target tracking; an adaptive best linear unbiased estimation (BLUE) filter with fused range estimation is presented.

Indoleamine 2,3‐dioxygenase 1 inhibition reverses cancer‐associated fibroblast‐mediated immunosuppression in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CAF‐mediated immunosuppression in ovarian cancer is driven by IDO1, reducing T‐cell function. Inhibiting IDO1 restores T‐cell proliferation and cytotoxicity, increases cancer cell apoptosis, and may help overcome CAF‐induced immune suppression in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer. Targeting IDO1 may improve antitumor immunity.

MULTICHANNEL TIME-FREQUENCY ADAPTIVE FILTER BASED ON DOUBLE-CROSS-GROUP TRANSFORMATIONS

open access: yesDoklady Belorusskogo gosudarstvennogo universiteta informatiki i radioèlektroniki, 2019
We consider a multi-channel time-frequency adaptive filter with fast convergence. To reduce the time used to adapt a dual-group adjacent spectral transform. The comparison of the proposed filter with a known adaptive filter is given.

Long‐term culture of skin biopsies: maintenance of fibroblast production and competency of reprogramming

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Skin biopsies taken from a patient with an ultra‐rare disorder as well as controls were cultured for up to 473 days. The chunks of skin were serially transferred to a new culture plate when confluent with fibroblasts. Different generations of fibroblasts were analyzed for cell and molecular properties, proliferation, and competence for reprogramming to

A Simplified Frequency-Domain Feedback Active Noise Control Algorithm

open access: yesApplied Sciences
When the adaptive filter length is increased, the calculation complexity increases rapidly because the relationship between the calculation and the adaptive filter length N contains a power function with no secondary path identification algorithm.

Development of Shunt-Type Three-Phase Active Power Filter with Novel Adaptive Control for Wind Generators

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2015
This paper proposes a new adaptive filter for wind generators that combines instantaneous reactive power compensation technology and current prediction controller, and therefore this system is characterized by low harmonic distortion, high power factor ...
