KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

An Enhanced Adaptive Set-Membership Filter for Nonlinear Ellipsoidal Estimation

open access: yes, 2007
The extended set-membership filter (ESMF) for nonlinear ellipsoidal estimation suffers from numerical instability, computation complexity, as well as the difficulty in filter parameter selection.

Active Optical Lattice Filters

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2005
Optical lattice filter structures including gains are introduced and analyzed. The photonic realization of the active, adaptive lattice filter is described.

A Subband Adaptive Equalization Structure

open access: yes, 1999
The potential presence of fractional delays, non-minimum phase parts, and a colouring of the channel output can require adaptive equalizers to adapt very long impulse responses.

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

An adaptive hybrid filter for practical WiFi-based positioning systems

open access: yesICT Express, 2015
This paper proposes an adaptive hybrid filter for WiFi-based indoor positioning systems. The hybrid filter adopts the notion of particle filters within the prediction framework of the basic Kalman filter.

Fast Implementation of Oversampled Modulated Filter Banks

open access: yes, 2000
This paper presents an efficient implementation of oversampled filter banks derived from a prototype filter by modulation. Via a polyphase analysis, redundancies in the filter operations are removed.

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.
