FPGA Implementation of Efficient Adaptive Filter Incorporating Systolic Architecture [PDF]

open access: yesEngineering and Technology Journal
This paper introduces an approach that capitalizes on the retimed delay concept to enhance adaptive filters' operational efficiency. In particular, it introduces an adaptive filter configuration with minimal critical path delay.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Adaptive Marginal Multi-Target Bayes Filter without Need for Clutter Density for Object Detection and Tracking

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
The random finite set (RFS) approach for multi-target tracking is widely researched because it has a rigorous theoretical basis. However, many prior parameters such as the clutter density, survival probability and detection probability of the target ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Locally-adaptive Myriad Filters for Processing ECG Signals in Real Time [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal Bioautomation, 2017
The locally adaptive myriad filters to suppress noise in electrocardiographic (ECG) signals in almost in real time are proposed. Statistical estimates of efficiency according to integral values of such criteria as mean square error (MSE) and signal-to ...

Comparative study of low-pass filter and phase-locked loop type speed filters for sensorless control of AC drives

open access: yesCES Transactions on Electrical Machines and Systems, 2017
High quality speed information is one of the key issues in machine sensorless drives, which often requires proper filtering of the estimated speed. This paper comparatively studies typical low-pass filters (LPF) and phase-locked loop (PLL) type filters ...

Double‐state chi‐square test based sparse grid quadrature filtering algorithm and its application in integrated navigation

open access: yesIET Control Theory & Applications, 2023
Aiming to reduce the impact that the measurement uncertainty of nonlinear system brings to filtering accuracy, a novel sparse grid quadrature filter (SGQF) algorithm based on the double‐state chi‐square test is proposed.

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

IIR Adaptive Filters for Detection of Gravitational Waves from Coalescing Binaries

open access: yes, 2004
In this paper we propose a new strategy for gravitational waves detection from coalescing binaries, using IIR Adaptive Line Enhancer (ALE) filters. This strategy is a classical hierarchical strategy in which the ALE filters have the role of triggers ...

In vitro models of cancer‐associated fibroblast heterogeneity uncover subtype‐specific effects of CRISPR perturbations

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...
