A novel variational Bayesian adaptive Kalman filter with mismatched process noise covariance matrix
This paper proposes a novel variational Bayesian (VB) adaptive Kalman filter with mismatched process noise covariance matrix (PNCM). Firstly, this paper explains the reason why the predicted error covariance matrix (PECM) is chosen for variational ...

This study shows that copy number variations (CNVs) can be reliably detected in formalin‐fixed paraffin‐embedded (FFPE) solid cancer samples using ultra‐low‐pass whole‐genome sequencing, provided that key (pre)‐analytical parameters are optimized.

The existing adaptive Kalman filters for tracking manoeuvring targets by wireless sensor networks can easily lose robustness when both the measurement and process noises are unknown and time‐varying, resulting in large positioning errors.

Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

Methods to improve antibody–drug conjugate (ADC) treatment durability in cancer therapy are needed. We utilized ADCs and immune‐stimulating antibody conjugates (ISACs), which are made from two non‐competitive antibodies, to enhance the entry of toxic payloads into cancer cells and deliver immunostimulatory agents into immune cells.

Adaptive design of nano-scale dielectric structures for photonics
Using adaptive algorithms, the design of nano-scale dielectric structures for photonic applications is explored. Widths of dielectric layers in a linear array are adjusted to match target responses of optical transmission as a function of energy.

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

The PI3Kδ inhibitor roginolisib (IOA‐244) preserves T‐cell function and activity
Identification of novel PI3K inhibitors with limited immune‐related adverse effects is highly sought after. We found that roginolisib and idelalisib inhibit chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells and Treg suppressive functions to similar extents, but roginolisib affects cytotoxic T‐cell function and promotion of pro‐inflammatory T helper subsets to a

Temporal convex combination‐based secure distributed estimation against cyberattacks and noisy input
This paper proposes a new secure distributed estimation for cyber‐physical systems against adversarial attacks with noisy input. To mitigate the effect of attacks, a novel distributed attack detection based on a reliable reference estimation obtained by ...
