Skin Conductance Response Artifact Reduction: Leveraging Accelerometer Noise Reference and Deep Breath Detection

open access: yesIEEE Access
Electrodermal activity (EDA) shows a significant correlation with activation of the autonomic nervous system (ANS) activation. Regular ambulatory monitoring via wearables and consequent inference of ANS activation has a wide range of applications ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Convex Combined Adaptive Filtering Algorithm for Acoustic Echo Cancellation in Hostile Environments

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
Research into combined adaptive filters has been attracting considerable attention; the performance of which is generally superior to that of the individual component filters.

Adaptive and Iterative Multi-Branch MMSE Decision Feedback Detection Algorithms for MIMO Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In this work, decision feedback (DF) detection algorithms based on multiple processing branches for multi-input multi-output (MIMO) spatial multiplexing systems are proposed.

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

SD LMS L-Filters for Filtration of Gray Level Images in Timespatial Domain Based on GLCM Features

open access: yesAdvances in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, 2008
In this paper, the new kind of adaptive signal-dependent LMS L-filter for suppression of a mixed noise in greyscale images is developed. It is based on the texture parameter measurement as modification of spatial impulse detector structure. Moreover, the

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.
