Adaptive control of large space structures using recursive lattice filters [PDF]
The use of recursive lattice filters for identification and adaptive control of large space structures is studied. Lattice filters were used to identify the structural dynamics model of the flexible structures.

Adaptive multiscale detection of filamentary structures in a background of uniform random points
We are given a set of $n$ points that might be uniformly distributed in the unit square $[0,1]^2$. We wish to test whether the set, although mostly consisting of uniformly scattered points, also contains a small fraction of points sampled from some (a ...

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

Structure Adaptive Approach for Dimension Reduction
We propose a new method of effective dimension reduction for a multi-index model which is based on iterative improvement of the family of average derivative estimates. The procedure is computationally straightforward and does not require any prior information about the structure of the underlying model.

Interactions between the hippocampus, prefrontal cortex, and amygdala support complex learning and memory. [PDF]
One of the guiding principles of memory research in the preceding decades is multiple memory systems theory, which links specific task demands to specific anatomical structures and circuits that are thought to act orthogonally with respect to each other.

Adaptive Storage Structures [PDF]
This thesis introduces three ways to adapt relational database systems to advancements in modern storage technology. First, we propose Mosaic, a storage engine optimized for analytical workloads. Second, we propose Plush, a hashing-based storage solution for transactional workloads on byte-addressable persistent memory. Finally, we introduce Data Pipes,

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.
