Three‐Dimensional Characteristics and Dominant Forcing Mechanisms of Third Waves Generated by Nonlinear Near‐Inertial Wave and Internal Tide Interactions

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 4, 28 February 2026.
Abstract Nonlinear interactions between internal tides (ITs) and near‐inertial waves (NIWs) generate the “third waves” at frequencies corresponding to the sum of IT and NIW frequencies. The third waves drive oceanic energy cascade, yet under what conditions these waves are generated remain poorly quantified.

Observations of River Topography and Flow Around Bridges [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
This investigation was motivated by the amount of river, estuarine, and coastal infrastructure that is susceptible to extreme wave and flooding events. The high velocities and resulting shear stresses associated with high flow velocities are capable of ...

Mosaic vaccine-induced antibody-dependent cellular phagocytosis associated with delayed HIV-1 viral load rebound post treatment interruption

open access: yesCell Reports
Summary: A heterologous Ad26/MVA vaccine was given prior to an analytic treatment interruption (ATI) in people living with HIV-1 (mainly CRF01_AE) who initiated antiretroviral treatment (ART) during acute HIV-1.

Towed ADCP system to be developed

open access: yesEos, Transactions American Geophysical Union, 1991
A towed Acoustic Doppler Current Profiling (ADCP) system is being developed in a joint effort by ENDECO/YSI, Inc., and RD Instruments. The goal is to mount direct‐reading or self‐contained ADCPs in a towed system. The latter is planned to consist of a 6‐foot V‐fin with pod and cable/fairing. The prototype system is expected to undergo sea trials in mid

Cross-Reactive Fc-Mediated Antibody Responses to Influenza HA Stem Region in Human Sera Following Seasonal Vaccination

open access: yesVaccines
Background: Current influenza A vaccines primarily induce neutralizing antibodies targeting the variable hemagglutinin (HA) head domain, limiting their effectiveness against diverse or emerging influenza A virus (IAV) subtypes.

Medición de la concentración de sedimentos en suspensión mediante dispositivos ópticos y acústicos: aplicación en sistemas tropicales (Delta del río Mira, Colombia) Measurement of suspended sediment concentration using optical and acoustic devices: application in tropical systems (Mira River Delta, Colombia)

open access: yesLatin American Journal of Aquatic Research, 2012
