Disordered but rhythmic—the role of intrinsic protein disorder in eukaryotic circadian timing
Unstructured domains known as intrinsically disordered regions (IDRs) are present in nearly every part of the eukaryotic core circadian oscillator. IDRs enable many diverse inter‐ and intramolecular interactions that support clock function. IDR conformations are highly tunable by post‐translational modifications and environmental conditions, which ...

An invitation to additive prime number theory
The main purpose of this survey is to introduce an inexperienced reader to additive prime number theory and some related branches of analytic number theory. We state the main problems in the field, sketch their history and the basic machinery used to study them, and try to give a representative sample of the directions of current research.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

The role of histone modifications in transcription regulation upon DNA damage
This review discusses the critical role of histone modifications in regulating gene expression during the DNA damage response (DDR). By modulating chromatin structure and recruiting repair factors, these post‐translational modifications fine‐tune transcriptional programmes to maintain genomic stability.

Monochromatic sums and products
Monochromatic sums and products, Discrete Analysis 2016:5, 48pp. An old and still unsolved problem in Ramsey theory asks whether if the positive integers are coloured with finitely many colours, then there are positive integers $x$ and $y$ such that $x,

Design and Analysis of an OFDM-Based Orthogonal Chaotic Vector Shift Keying Communication System
We propose a new non-coherent multicarrier spread-spectrum system that combines orthogonal chaotic vector shift keying (OCVSK) and orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM).

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

The energy required to fuse synaptic vesicles with the plasma membrane (‘activation energy’) is considered a major determinant in synaptic efficacy. From reaction rate theory, we predict that a class of modulations exists, which utilize linear modulation

On the additive theory of prime numbers II
The undecidability of the additive theory of primes (with identity) as well as the theory Th(N,+, n -> p\_n), where p\_n denotes the (n+1)-th prime, are open questions. As a possible approach, we extend the latter theory by adding some extra function. In this direction we show the undecidability of the existential part of the theory Th(N, +, n ->
