Anomaly Field Extraction Based on Layered-Earth Model and Equivalent Eddy Current Inversion: A Case Study of Borehole zk506 in Baishiquan, Xinjiang

open access: yesSensors
Based on the concept of an equivalent eddy current, anomaly field inversion provides an efficient and rapid inversion method for borehole transient electromagnetic (BHTEM) measurements. It enables the utilization of the equivalent eddy current to rapidly

Targeting Post‐Irradiation Thyroid Dysfunction: Electrospun Scaffolds As A Dual‐Action Approach for Antioxidant and Immune Modulation

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Radiation‐induced hypothyroidism follows head and neck radiotherapy due to oxidative stress and inflammation. Electrospun polycaprolactone scaffolds containing adenosine have potential to modulate thyroid repair. Scaffolds enhance thyrocyte proliferation, antioxidant enzymes glutathione peroxidase and catalase, reduce senescence and apoptosis markers ...

Packed for Ossification: High‐Density Bioprinting of hPDC Spheroids in HAMA Toward Endochondral Ossification

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Human periosteum‐derived cell spheroids bioprinted at high density within a hyaluronic acid matrix promote fusion and hypertrophic cartilage formation in vitro. Early encapsulation enhances spheroid interaction and matrix maturation, generating scalable cartilage templates intended for endochondral bone regeneration.

Three-dimensional Magnetotelluric Inversion

open access: yes, 2011
The main objective of my PhD research is developing a better understanding of the mathematics, physics and numerical aspects of 3D MT inversion. This should lead to a working software that allows inversion of MT datasets in three dimensions.

In situ stress inversion using nonlinear stress boundaries achieved by the bubbling method

open access: yesJournal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering
Due to the heterogeneity of rock masses and the variability of in situ stress, the traditional linear inversion method is insufficiently accurate to achieve high accuracy of the in situ stress field. To address this challenge, nonlinear stress boundaries

A Fully Human Engineered Bone Niche With Endogenous Osteoclastogenesis Reveals Osteoclast‐Dependent Osteomimicry in Prostate Cancer Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A human 3D bone niche integrating osteoblasts and osteoclasts enables co‐culture with prostate cancer cell lines and patient‐derived organoids. The engineered niche (i) models aspects of reciprocal phenotypic regulation between osteoblasts and cancer cells, (ii) captures osteoclast‐enhanced osteomimicry in tumor cells, and (iii) establishes a ...

Status and prospects of joint inversion of geophysical electromagnetic data [PDF]

open access: yes
Geophysical electromagnetic data inversion is a typical underdetermined problem. Due to the limitations of observational data, individual geophysical methods often suffer from significant non-uniqueness and uncertainty, making it challenging to provide ...

Portable Breathing Monitoring With Phase‐Resolved Airflow Dynamics Enabled by a Dual‐Response Flexible PZT Sensor

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A portable respiratory monitoring device based on a flexible PZT sensor captures pressure‐ and temperature‐related airflow responses in a single waveform. Polarity‐opposed piezoelectric and pyroelectric components generate a narrow transient spike and a broad quasi‐steady peak during both inhalation and exhalation. This dual‐component structure enables

Inversion-based gait generation for humanoid robots

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper, we address the problem of gait generation for bipedal robots. We cast the determination of a Center of Mass (CoM) reference trajectory for a given Zero Moment Point (ZMP) desired behaviour as a stable inversion problem for non-minimum ...
