Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon and its adducts in peripheral blood: Gene and environment interaction among Chinese population

open access: yesEnvironment International
Background: Benzo(a)pyrene (B[a]P) is the most widely concerned polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), which metabolizes benzo(a)pyrene-7,8-dihydrodiol-9,10-epoxide (BPDE) in vivo to produce carcinogenic effect on the body.

Full‐Color Tunable Fluorescent Polysiloxanes Driven by Structure Evolution and Aggregation From Amine–Aldehyde Reaction

open access: yesAggregate, EarlyView.
To achieve full‐color nonconventional fluorescence, amino‐terminated polysiloxanes are introduced into the amine–glutaraldehyde reaction. The fluorophore evolution from imines to pyridinium derivatives, along with aggregate state regulation, is precisely controlled by thermal treatment.

Spring and Power in Hovering Ornithopters

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Only small ornithopters can hover, longest at the hummingbird size. This article reviews the drive and power of these hovering machines, focusing on elastic energy and thrust boosters. Unlike two‐winged designs, X‐winged and multiple‐V‐winged ornithopters benefit from lower disk loading and slower, smaller wingbeats, and the clap‐and‐fling effect ...
