VRK1 Is a Novel Therapeutic Target for Small Cell Neuroendocrine Carcinoma of the Cervix
Small cell neuroendocrine carcinoma of the cervix (SCNEC), a rare but aggressive cancer, consistently exhibited high VRK1 expression. VRK1 knockdown significantly suppressed xenograft tumor growth by inducing mitochondrial dysfunction. These findings highlighted VRK1 as a potential therapeutic target for SCNEC.

We characterized colorectal cancer stem‐like cell (CRC‐SC)–derived transcriptomic subtypes based on mRNA expression of 57 patient‐derived SC lines. Expression profiles were compared with normal colonic epithelium stem‐like cells (NCE‐SCs), yielding differentially expressed genes.

Treatment‐related changes in the prostate: past, present and future therapies
Radiation therapy alters tumour morphology and immunoprofile in prostate cancer. Residual carcinoma shows distorted glandular architecture on H&E and loss of basal markers with preserved AMACR expression by immunohistochemistry, aiding in the recognition of treatment effect in prostate biopsies.
