Cyclic Adenosine Monophosphate: Function in Photoreceptors [PDF]
Inactivation of adenylate cyclase in outer segments of retinal photoreceptor cells is proportional to the bleaching of rhodopsin. Membranes of the outer segments also contain a particulate, light-insensitive phosphodiesterase of high specific activity. In electrophysiological experiments, application of cyclic adenosine monophosphate along

A chronocoulometric aptamer sensor for adenosine monophosphate [PDF]
The selective recognition of adenosine monophosphate by a half-duplex aptamer-modified electrode leads to a simple chronocoulometric aptasensor based on the changes in surface charges.

Effects of adenosine 5′-monophosphate and adenosine 3′,5′-cyclic monophosphate on l cells
Journal of Cell Science, 1975ABSTRACT The adenine nucleotides, 5′-AMP and 3′5′-cyclic AMP block L cells in the S-phase of the cell cycle. The intracellular level of cyclic AMP is reduced after incubation of cells with 5′-AMP, and rates of uridine transport are increased after incubation with either 5′-AMP or cyclic AMP.

Adenosine diphosphate and adenosine monophosphate: enzymatic spectrophotometric determination
The Journal of Nutritional Biochemistry, 1990Determination enzymatique et spectrophotometrique de l'adenosine diphosphate (ADP) et de l'adenosine monophosphate (AMP). Stimulation of erythropoiesis by cyclic adenosine monophosphate
Life Sciences, 1971Abstract CYCLIC AMP stimulated the incorporation of radioiron by the red blood cells in polycythemic mice. This effect was potentiated by prior incubation of cyclic AMP with dialyzed rat serum and was partially abolished in vivo , but not in vitro , by anti-erythropoietin.

Adenosine 3′, 5′-monophosphate in mycobacteria
Life Sciences, 1977Abstract Cyclic adenosine 3′,5′-monophosphate (cyclic AMP) is present in saprophytic fast growing as well as pathogenic and non-pathogenic slow growing mycobacteria. Apparently there does not seem to be any direct relationship between either intra- or extra-cellular cyclic AMP content with the growth rate of the bacteria.

Origin of Cyclic Adenosine Monophosphate in Saliva
Journal of Dental Research, 1975The level of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (AMP) in duct saliva from the dog submandibular gland was increased after cyclic AMP was administered intravenously in vivo. Isoproterenol increased the level of cyclic AMP in plasma and saliva in vivo and in salivary gland slices in vitro, but increased the level only slightly in saliva in a perfused dog ...

Heterogeneity of antibodies to adenosine 5′-monophosphate
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Nucleic Acids and Protein Synthesis, 1976Antibodies to adenosine 5'-monophosphate were produced in rabbits by injecting a conjugate of the nucleotide (oxidized with periodate) with bovine serum albumin. AMP-specific antibodies were isolated by affinity chromatography. The antiserum was first applied on oligoadenylic acids-agarose column and then the unbound proteins on a morpholine derivative

Measurement of adenosine 3′,5′-monophosphate
Analytical Biochemistry, 1967Abstract A double-isotope dilution and derivative analysis technique is described for the measurement of adenosine 3′,5′-monophosphate. Column and paper chromatography are used for the isolation of adenosine 3′,5′-monophosphate from tissues and urine.

Cyclic Adenosine Monophosphate in Bacteria [PDF]
Both cyclic AMP and a specific inducer acting in concert are required for the synthesis of many inducible enzymes in E. coli. Little enzyme is made in the absence of either. In contrast to the specific inducers which stimulate the synthesis only of the proteins required for their metabolism, cyclic AMP controls the ...
