Unraveling T-cell decoding strategy: a step forward
Elucidation of the mechanisms by which T-cells discriminate between self and foreign antigens has been a major challenge in immunology. In this issue of The EMBO Journal, Huhn and colleagues (Huhn et al, 2025) show that the affinity between soluble ...

Adhesion-Induced Lateral Phase Separation in Membranes [PDF]
Adhesion between membranes is studied using a phenomenological model, where the inter-membrane distance is coupled to the concentration of sticker molecules on the membranes.

ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Effect of adhesion geometry and rigidity on cellular force distributions
The behaviour and fate of tissue cells is controlled by the rigidity and geometry of their adhesive environment, possibly through forces localized to sites of adhesion.

High Fidelity Tape Transfer Printing Based On Chemically Induced Adhesive Strength Modulation [PDF]
Transfer printing, a two-step process (i.e. picking up and printing) for heterogeneous integration, has been widely exploited for the fabrication of functional electronics system.

Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...

Adhesive dynamics (AD) is a method for simulating the dynamic response of biological systems in response to force. Biological bonds are mechanical entities that exert force under strain, and applying forces to biological bonds modulates their rate of dissociation.

Partial constraint singularities in elastic rods
We present a unified classical treatment of partially constrained elastic rods. Partial constraints often entail singularities in both shapes and reactions.
