Medical Admission Prediction Score (MAPS); a simple tool to predict medical admissions in the emergency department

open access: yesPLOS ONE, 2023
Introduction Overcrowding in the emergency departments (ED) is linked to adverse clinical outcomes, a negative impact on patient safety, patient satisfaction, and physician efficiency. We aimed to design a medical admission prediction scoring system based on readily available clinical data during ED presentation.

Periodic Points of Weaker Meir-Keeler Contractive Mappings on Generalized Quasimetric Spaces

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
By using the weaker Meir-Keeler function ϕ and the triangular α-admissible mapping α, we introduce the notion of (α-ϕ)-weaker Meir-Keeler contractive mappings and prove a theorem which assures the existence of a periodic point for these mappings on ...

An Approach to Existence of Fixed Points of Generalized Contractive Multivalued Mappings of Integral Type via Admissible Mapping

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
We investigate the existence of a fixed point of certain contractive multivalued mappings of integral type by using the admissible mapping. Our results generalize the several results on the topic in the literature involving Branciari, and Feng and Liu ...

A different approach to complex valued G b $G_{b}$ -metric spaces

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2020
In this work, we introduce a generalized fixed point theorem using a complex C-class function as a new tool in complex valued G b $G_{b}$ -metric spaces.

Generalized contractions with triangular α-orbital admissible mapping on Branciari metric spaces

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2016
The purpose of this paper is to generalize fixed point theorems introduced by Jleli et al. (J. Inequal. Appl. 2014:38, 2014) by using the concept of triangular α-orbital admissible mappings established in Popescu (Fixed Point Theory Appl. 2014:190, 2014).

On the effect of alpha-admissibility and theta-contractivity to the existence of fixed points of multivalued mappings

open access: yesNonlinear Analysis, 2016
In this study, we give some fixed point results for multivalued mappings using α-admissibility and θ-contractivity of multivalued mappings on complete metric spaces.

Fixed points of multivalued mappings in metric spaces [PDF]

open access: yesSurveys in Mathematics and its Applications, 2019
Admissibility of mappings are introduced to create conditions to minimally restrict various contractive conditions on pairs of points from a metric space in order to ensure fixed point property of the respective contractions.

EIGENVALUES OF COUNTABLY CONDENSING ADMISSIBLE MAPS

open access: yesJournal of the Korean Mathematical Society, 2005
The existence of a positive eigenvalue for countably condensing admissible (in the sense of L.~Górniewicz) multivalued mappings in Fréchet spaces is established. An application of the obtained results to the generalized fixed point problem for admissible mappings is presented.

A Simplified Laminar Flow Model for the Pultrusion of Glass Fiber/Polyethylene Terephthalate Commingled Yarns

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A simplified thermoplastic pultrusion model is developed to predict thermal fields in glass fiber/polyethylene terephthalate (GF/PET) composites with reduced computational cost. By combining effective material homogenization, validation against literature data, and Gaussian‐process‐based optimization, the study reveals how heating limits, pulling speed,

Walkwise and admissible mappings between digraphs

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics, 1974
AbstractWe define two classes of mappings, between digraphs, which are closely related to homomorphisms and pathwise homomorphisms of finite automata. We show that the cycle rank cannot increase under mappings of these types, derive various decomposition properties, and then relate these mappings to homomorphisms of digraphs.
