Lectotypification of the name Actinotinus sinensis (Adoxaceae)

The specimen, Henry 4058, the type of Actinotinus sinensis was found through the trick prepared by one of Henry’s collectors who has artfully inserted an inflorescence of Viburnum into the terminal bud of an Aesculus. According to the Code operating prior to 1975, the name Actinotinus and A. sinensis must be abandoned, but they may be available for use

Lectotypification of 4 names of Viburnum (Adoxaceae)

Examination of the protologues of Viburnum henryi, V. brachybotryum var. tengyuehense, V. theiferum and V. ternatum revealed that at least two gatherings were mentioned as types for every one of them, making it necessary to designate a lectotype for each of the 4 names.

Karyomorphology of Sinacfoxa (Adoxaceae) and its systematic significance [PDF]

Karyomorphology of Sinadoxa corydalifolia and the karyotype of the diploid Adoxa moschatellina are investigated for the first time. Karyomorphological data indicate that Sinadoxa is directly akin to other two genera of the Adoxaceae, rather than related to Araliales; and three genera of the Adoxaceae should be a natural group.
