Adrenal Venous Sampling Could Be Omitted before Surgery in Patients with Conn’s Adenoma Confirmed by Computed Tomography and Higher Normal Aldosterone Concentration after Saline Infusion Test

open access: yesDiagnostics, 2022
Purpose: Adrenal venous sampling (AVS) performed to distinguish unilateral and bilateral primary aldosteronism (PA) is invasive and poorly standardized.

A case of primary aldosteronism with resistant hypertension successfully treated by unilateral adrenalectomy after unsuccessful classification of subtype in adrenal venous sampling

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, 2019
Despite being an established method to identify the unilateral subtype of primary aldosteronism with an indication of adrenalectomy, adrenal venous sampling sometimes fails primarily due to unsuccessful cannulation to adrenal veins.

Adrenal androgens versus cortisol for primary aldosteronism subtype determination in adrenal venous sampling

open access: yesClinical Endocrinology, 2022
We examined if measurement of adrenal androgens adds to subtype diagnostics of primary aldosteronism (PA) under cosyntropin‐stimulated adrenal venous sampling (AVS).

The Development and Pilot Clinical Study of CD147 Targeted Antagonistic Peptide Probe for Tumor Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study establishes [68Ga]Ga‐DOTA‐AP9 as a first‐in‐human CD147‐targeted PET tracer with favorable safety and specific tumor uptake. Tracer accumulation correlates with CD147 expression in patients, enabling noninvasive quantification of CD147‐positive malignancies.

Role of radiologists in the diagnosis and management of adrenal disorders

open access: yesEndocrine Journal
This study aimed to focus on the role of radiologists in the diagnosis and management of adrenal lesions, particularly primary aldosteronism (PA) and secondary hypertension.

Integration of clinical parameters and CT-based radiomics improves machine learning assisted subtyping of primary hyperaldosteronism

open access: yesFrontiers in Endocrinology, 2023
ObjectivesThe aim of this study was to investigate an integrated diagnostics approach for prediction of the source of aldosterone overproduction in primary hyperaldosteronism (PA).Methods269 patients from the prospective German Conn Registry with PA were

Multi‐Component Functionalized Bifidobacterium Longum Hydrogel for Multi‐Target Integrated Therapy of Colitis‐Associated Anxiety and Depression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A pH/MMP dual‐responsive Bifidobacterium longum (BL) hydrogel (INPs@BL@Gel) functionalized with baicalin, tyrosine, and inulin is constructed. It enables gastric protection, inflammation‐targeted release, and prolonged intestinal colonization. By remodeling gut microbiota, elevating beneficial neuroactive metabolites (homovanillic acid, short‐chain ...

Using CT radiomic features based on machine learning models to subtype adrenal adenoma

open access: yesBMC Cancer, 2023
Background Functioning and non-functioning adrenocortical adenoma are two subtypes of benign adrenal adenoma, and their differential diagnosis is crucial.

The value of CT-based energy imaging to discriminate dominant side lesions in primary aldosteronism

open access: yesFrontiers in Endocrinology, 2023
PurposeThe current clinical discrimination of the dominant side of primary aldosteronism (PA) mainly relies on invasive adrenal venous sampling (AVS) examination.

Node‐by‐node diagnosis for multiple ipsilateral nodules by segmental adrenal venous sampling in primary aldosteronism

open access: yesClinical Endocrinology, 2022
In patients with primary aldosteronism (PA), multiple adrenocortical nodules may be present on the surgical side. The aim of this study was to clarify the pathological diagnosis and the node‐by‐node diagnostic capability of segmental adrenal venous ...
