Co‐existing monophasic teratoma and uterine adenocarcinoma in a female dog [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Ovarian teratomas are occasionally reported in dogs; the rarest type is the monophasic teratoma, composed of tissues originating from only one germ layer. Canine endometrial adenocarcinomas are also rare in dogs and mainly affect geriatric females.

Granulosa cell tumor patients presenting with acute abdomen: a case series

open access: yesGynecologic Oncology Reports
Objective: To highlight the unique clinical presentation of acute abdomen in granulosa cell tumor patients. Methods: In a multicenter cohort study of adult-type granulosa cell tumors, women presenting with an acute abdomen at diagnosis were identified ...

Roles of human epididymis protein 4, carbohydrate antigen 125, inhibin B and anti-Mullerian hormone in the differential diagnosis and follow-up of ovarian granulosa cell tumors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Objective. Evaluation of circulating tumor markers in ovarian cancer is crucial for optimal patient care. The goal of this study was to verify the most accurate circulating tumor markers for the diagnosis and follow-up of adult-type granulosa cell tumors

Parathyroid localization [PDF]

open access: yes, 1986
Twenty-nine consecutive patients with suspected primary hyperparathyroidism were examined preoperatively using ultrasound, sonographically guided fine needle aspiration, and aspirate immunostaining for PTH.

Nuclear localization of β-catenin in Sertoli cell tumors and other sex cord–stromal tumors of the testis: an immunohistochemical study of 87 cases [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The diagnosis and subclassification of Sertoli cell tumors (SCT) of the testis are often challenging to general surgical pathologists because of the rarity of the tumors. Immunohistochemical study to date has limited diagnostic value.

Homeobox A7 increases cell proliferation by up-regulation of epidermal growth factor receptor expression in human granulosa cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Background: Homeobox (HOX) genes encode transcription factors, which regulate cell proliferation, differentiation, adhesion, and migration.

Ovarian Matrisome Dynamics and αvβ3‐Mediated Regulation in Early Follicular Development

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The matrisome undergoes dynamic remodeling during early follicular development. Integrin αvβ3 mediates matrisome signals, regulating primordial follicle activation/atresia and secondary follicle growth via Hippo/mTOR pathways, with conserved roles in human ovaries, offering therapeutic targets for ovarian disorders.

Diagnostic relevance of urinary steroid profiles on ovarian granulosa cell tumors: two case reports

open access: yesJournal of Medical Case Reports, 2017
Background Granulosa cell tumor of the ovary is the most frequent sex cord stromal tumor and represents 2 to 5% of all primary ovarian cancers. Ovarian granulosa cell tumor is a malignant tumor with slow progression and in some cases this tumor is ...

A Biomarker‐Driven Ovary–Endometrium Organ‐on‐a‐Chip Mimicking 3D Multicellular Complexity and Menstrual Cyclicity for Predicting Reproductive Toxicity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We present a dual‐organ, biomarker‐integrated ovaryendometrium organ‐on‐a‐chip that recapitulates 3D tissue complexity, menstrual cycle dynamics, and hormonal crosstalk. This platform enables real‐time, cell‐typespecific fluorescent readouts of reproductive toxicity using ANGPTL4 and SERPINB2 as early‐response reporters.
