Plural marking in argument supporting nominalizations [PDF]
This paper investigates the conditions under which Argument Supporting Nominalizations (ASNs) can receive plural marking. Under ASNs, we discuss deverbal nouns that express an event and preserve argument structure.

A Critical Assessment of the Negation Argument for Intellectual Moral Good and Bad [PDF]
What we call the "negation argument" is the second of the three arguments that Nasir al-Din al-Tusi advanced in his influential work, Tajrīd al-iʿtiqād, in defense of intellectual moral good and bad(husn wa qubh 'aqli).

ABSTRACT Background Children with sickle cell anemia (SCA) in low‐income settings are at risk of severe malnutrition, but optimal nutritional management has not been established. We evaluated an intensified ready‐to‐use therapeutic food (RUTF) regimen in children with persistent severe malnutrition after initial treatment and assessed whether early ...

Multi-argument classification for semantic role labeling [PDF]
This paper describes a Multi-Argument Classification (MAC) approach to Semantic Role Labeling. The goal is to exploit dependencies between semantic roles by simultaneously classifying all arguments as a pattern.

Probabilistic semantics for the Carneades argument model using Bayesian networks
S.255-266This paper presents a technique with which instances of argument structures in the Carneades model can be given a probabilistic semantics by translating them into Bayesian networks.

ADVANCED IMPULSIVE DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS WITH PIECEWISE CONSTANT ARGUMENTS
We prove the existence and uniqueness of the solutions of a class of first order nonhomogeneous advanced impulsive differential equations with piecewise constant arguments. We also study the conditions of periodicity, oscillation, nonoscillation and global asymptotic stability for some special cases.

Central Nervous System Tumors Among Infants in Canada: A Report From CYP‐C
ABSTRACT Background Central nervous system (CNS) tumors in infants are rare, pose unique clinical challenges, and lack large‐scale evidence‐based data to guide management. This study seeks to describe CNS tumors in Canadian infants and to compare their outcomes with those of older children.

On Some Nonlinear Integral Inequalities with an Advanced Argument [PDF]
In this paper, we investigate some nonlinear integral inequalities with an advanced argument which provide explicit bounds on unknown functions. The inequalities given here can be used as tools in the qualitative theory of certain advanced nonlinear ...

Blow-up phenomena for second-order differential inequalities with shifted arguments
We provide sufficient conditions for the blow-up of solutions to certain second-order differential inequalities and systems with advanced and delayed arguments. Our proofs are based on the test function method.
