Scenario planning and foresight: Advancing theory and improving practice [PDF]

open access: yesTechnological Forecasting and Social Change, 2020
In this Introduction, we review the logic that underpinned the earlier call for papers and provide a structured sequence for the contents of the sixteen papers that comprise the special issue. Use of particular foresight tools can have predictable effects on strategy making – providing positive changes in mental models and challenging business-as-usual

Sustained Therapeutic Efficacy of Intravenous Plasminogen Concentrate in Pediatric Patients With Type 1 Plasminogen Deficiency: An Analysis of Dosing Parameters and Clinical Outcomes

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Type 1 plasminogen deficiency (PLGD‐1) is an ultra‐rare autosomal recessive disorder caused by variants in the PLG gene and affects approximately 1.6 individuals per million. The condition is characterized by decreased plasminogen levels and impaired function, resulting in fibrin‐rich lesions on mucous membranes throughout the body.

Guidelines for Pediatric Radiotherapy Simulation: A Report From the Children's Oncology Group Radiation Oncology Discipline

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pediatric radiation therapy presents unique challenges compared to adult treatments, including those of immobilization, potential need for sedation, and the critical importance of accurate, reproducible positioning. Additionally, heightened attention to imaging doses is necessary to minimize long‐term toxicity in survivors.

GW200105 and GW200115 are compatible with a scenario of primordial black hole binary coalescences

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2022
Two gravitational wave events, i.e. GW200105 and GW200115, were observed by the Advanced LIGO and Virgo detectors recently. In this work, we show that they can be explained by a scenario of primordial black hole binaries that are formed in the early ...

Association Between Dinutuximab Beta Exposure and Post‐End‐of‐Treatment Survival in Neuroblastoma: A Weighted Patient‐Level Analysis of Three Clinical Studies

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives The association between exposure to dinutuximab beta (DB) and event‐free survival (EFS) or overall survival (OS) of neuroblastoma patients was assessed using data collected during three clinical trials (five cohorts). Methods A systematic review (March 2026) was conducted to identify relevant studies (prospective; registered DB ...

Advanced steady-state operating scenarios [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
The goal for advanced steady-state operation in ITER should be to demonstrate the operation of the plasma core for a steady-state fusion reactor. To accomplish this the authors must develop steady-state operating scenarios at high beta for high fusion power density, low auxiliary power requirements (Q{sub CD} {ge} 25, where Q{sub CD} {triple_bond}P ...

On Hierarchical Composite Endpoints in Pediatric Cancer Supportive Care: Illustrative Examples From Two Multi‐Center Phase‐III Randomized Clinical Trials

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pediatric supportive care clinical trials often involve multiple clinically important outcomes, complicating trial interpretation. Hierarchical composite endpoints (HCEs) provide a framework to integrate key outcomes according to clinical importance.
