A Field Guide for Soil Erosion Risk Assessment in Olive Orchards Across Mediterranean Conditions for End‐Users and Stakeholders

open access: yesLand Degradation &Development, Volume 37, Issue 13, Page 9202-9221, 15 August 2026.
ABSTRACT Soil erosion control poses a crucial challenge to the sustainability of Mediterranean olive groves. To facilitate field‐level decision‐making, we have developed a field guide oriented to use in any type of olive orchard across the Mediterranean.

Gene Expression and Physiological Analyses Provide New Insights Toward Adventitious Rooting in Yellow Camellia (C. nitidissima)

open access: yesJournal of the American Society for Horticultural Science
Yellow-flowering camellias are rare and endangered shrubs or small trees. Due to the limited access to seeds, clonal propagation via stem cutting is the commonly used method. Although adventitious root formation is essential for cuttings to survive, this

Enhanced Tantalum Superconducting Resonator Performance via All‐Surface Organic Monolayer Passivation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 64, 10 August 2026.
The internal quality factor of tantalum superconducting resonators is significantly increased by ∼140% in the low photon regime by passivating their surfaces with a high‐quality alkene self‐assembled monolayer. Our methodology promises to enhance the performance of superconducting quantum circuits.

Development of plant‐derived biomimetic nanoparticles as a novel targeted drug delivery platform

open access: yesClinical and Translational Discovery, Volume 6, Issue 4, August 2026.
Plant‐derived biomimetic nanoparticles (PD‐BNPs) represent a sustainable and biocompatible nanoplatform for targeted drug delivery. This review highlights their therapeutic potential, engineering strategies, and translational challenges toward precision nanomedicine applications. Abstract Plant‐derived biomimetic nanoparticles (PD‐BNPs) have emerged as

Quaternary Climate Oscillations Shape Genetic Diversity and Spatial Structure of Viola hybanthoides (Violaceae) Endemic to Danxia Landscape

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 8, August 2026.
We adopted ddRAD‐seq and chloroplast genome sequencing to explore the genetic characteristics of the danxia‐endemic species Viola hybanthoides. This species exhibits extremely low within‐population genetic diversity and obvious genetic differentiation, which is mainly driven by habitat fragmentation, restricted gene flow and Quaternary climatic changes.

Sedum guniuensis, a New Species of Sedum (Crassulaceae) From Anhui, China

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 8, August 2026.
A new species of Sedum (Crassulaceae), Sedum guniuensis from the Guniujiang Mountains in southern Anhui, China, is described and illustrated. The new species differs from S. emarginatum by its smaller heart‐shaped leaves and creeping growth habit. ABSTRACT A new species of Sedum (Crassulaceae), Sedum guniuensis from the Guniujiang Mountains in southern
