Efficient Plantlet Regeneration from Branches in Mangifera indica L.

open access: yesPlants
Mango (Mangifera indica L.) is one of the most significant tropical and subtropical fruit species, with high ecological and economic value. However, research on the in vitro culture of mangoes is relatively weak, so establishing an efficient and stable ...

N,N'-bis-(2,3-methylenedioxyphenyl)urea and N,N'-bis-(3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl)urea enhance adventitious rooting in Pinus radiata and affect expression of genes induced during adventitious rooting in the presence of exogenous auxin

open access: yes, 2008
We have analyzed the effect of N,N′-bis-(2,3-methylenedioxyphenyl)urea (2,3-MDPU) and N,N′-bis-(3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl)urea (3,4-MDPU), two symmetrically substituted diphenylurea derivatives with no auxin or cytokinin-like activity, on the rooting ...

Cirsium arvense management with electrical weed control and clopyralid

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 82, Issue 7, Page 6575-6584, July 2026.
Electrical weed control (EWC) treatments reduced Cirsium arvense biomass by ≤95% and suppressed new shoot emergence by 70–95%, achieving control comparable to clopyralid. Sequential or integrated applications enhanced efficacy, demonstrating EWC's potential as a nonchemical tool for perennial weed management in orchard systems.

Gibberellins inhibit adventitious rooting in hybrid aspen and Arabidopsis by affecting auxin transport

open access: yes, 2014
Knowledge of processes involved in adventitious rooting is important to improve both fundamental understanding of plant physiology and the propagation of numerous plants.

Drought‐Induced Abscisic Acid Accumulation in Soybean Roots Depends on NCED Gene Expression More Than Shoot‐to‐Root ABA Transport

open access: yesPlant, Cell &Environment, Volume 49, Issue 7, Page 4166-4177, July 2026.
Abstract Abscisic acid (ABA) is a key phytohormone in plant responses to water deficit. Although there is extensive evidence that roots can synthesise ABA, recent findings suggest that local synthesis in response to dehydration contributes little to the root ABA pool compared to shoot‐sourced ABA.

A Proof of Principle for the Phase‐Dependent Electrocatalytic Activity of NiTi Shape Memory Alloys for the Oxygen Evolution Reaction

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 13, Issue 12, 17 June 2026.
We compare martensitic (Ni50Ti50) and austenitic (Ni51.2Ti48.8) NiTi shape memory alloys at room temperature as oxygen evolution reaction (OER) anodes, demonstrating that phase‐dependent microstructure governs electronic conductivity, surface roughness, and wettability.

Gene Expression and Physiological Analyses Provide New Insights Toward Adventitious Rooting in Yellow Camellia (C. nitidissima)

open access: yesJournal of the American Society for Horticultural Science
Yellow-flowering camellias are rare and endangered shrubs or small trees. Due to the limited access to seeds, clonal propagation via stem cutting is the commonly used method. Although adventitious root formation is essential for cuttings to survive, this

Effects of diphenylurea derivatives on adventitious rooting

open access: yes, 2009
Adventitious root formation is a key step in vegetative propagation of plants, one of the most efficient methods to multiply plants in vivo or in vitro.
