PLOD1 Catalytic Activity Stabilizes ENO1 by Limiting FBXW7‐dependent Degradation to Promote Glycolysis and TMZ Resistance in Glioblastoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
PLOD1 interacts with ENO1 and limits its FBXW7‐dependent ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation through a mechanism requiring PLOD1 catalytic activity. ENO1 stabilization sustains glycolysis, promoting glioblastoma cell proliferation, migration, and temozolomide resistance.

CD112 Lactylation Drives Dual Immune Evasion From CD8+ T Cells and NK Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
AARS2 functions as an intracellular lactate sensor and lactyltransferase, catalyzing CD112 K412 lactylation to block ubiquitination‐dependent degradation and stabilize CD112. This pathway suppresses CD8+ T‐cell and NK‐cell cytotoxicity, enabling dual immune evasion.

Site Density Governs Switching Reactivity Regimes During Aerobic C─H Oxidation in Mn Single‐Atom Photocatalysts

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Increasing the density of isolated manganese (Mn) atoms in carbon nitride (CNx) photocatalysts does not continuously improve performance. Instead, beyond a critical loading, the polymer support reorganizes, altering charge‐carrier dynamics and oxygen activation while preserving atomic dispersion.

Changes in Fitness, physical activity, fatness, and screen time: A longitudinal study in children and adolescents [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
*_Objective:_* To analyze whether changes in Physical Activity Index (PAI), sedentary time (ST; TV and PC use), and Body Mass Index (BMI) made a significant contribution to longitudinal changes in Physical Fitness (PF) of children and adolescents ...

Effects of 8-week of fitness classes on blood pressure, body composition, and physical fitness

open access: yes, 2020
BACKGROUND: Fitness activities such as indoor cycling (IC), Zumba® (ZU) and body pump (BP) are practiced by large segments of population. There are no studies showing which kind of fitness activity can produce more health benefits.

A ROS‐Responsive and Mucoadhesive Thermosensitive Hydrogel Encapsulated with Mizoribine for Synergistic Dry Eye Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The ROS‐responsive in situ thermosensitive MZR@SPPP hydrogel system enables dual‐stage drug loading and sustained ocular delivery. Upon administration, it gelates at ocular surface temperature, enhancing ocular adhesion. By scavenging free radicals, restoring NRF2‐mediated antioxidant defense and mitochondrial homeostasis, and suppressing inflammatory ...

Mechanophotochemistry: Lighting up EDA Complexes in the Solid State

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Examples of mechanophotochemical EDA complex‐mediated radical reactions, including a Giese reaction, a C─S cross‐coupling reaction, a phosphorylation reaction, and a sulfonylation reaction are shown to rapidly proceed in air using visible light excitation.

Repeated sprint test performance indices and aerobic fitness in normal and overweight pre-pubertal children [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We determined relationships between aerobic fitness and performance indices (fastest sprint time – FS, total sprint time – TS, and performance decrement – PD) of repeated sprint tests (RST) in normal and overweight children (BMI%: 59.8±12.9 versus 96.4±1.
