Modelling the aerodynamics of vertical-axis wind turbines in unsteady wind conditions [PDF]
Most numerical and experimental studies of the performance of vertical-axis wind turbines have been conducted with the rotors in steady, and thus somewhat artificial, wind conditions - with the result that turbine aerodynamics, under varying wind ...

Aerodynamic coefficients approximations for arbitrary angles

Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Trajectory optimization of a deflectable nose missile
The deflectable nose missile has a longer range by deflecting its nose to improve its aerodynamic feature. Based on detached eddy simulation (DES), the supersonic flow fields of a missile with deflectable nose are simulated numerically and its ...

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Mathematical Modeling of the Aerodynamic Coefficients of a Sail Blade
Abstract For more than a hundred years, wind turbines have been used to convert the potential of wind energy into electricity. In recent years, a trend has emerged in the form of a sharp increase in fossil fuel prices, as a result of which the development and production of wind turbines has greatly increased.

ERα splice variant ERα∆7 lacks the C‐terminus, and its expression may change phenotypes of breast cancers. Our results showed that ERα∆7 is found in the luminal A subtype, and elevated ERα∆7 levels are linked to improved cell survival with lower proliferation and migration.

Numerical investigation of the aerodynamic coefficients for the steelmaking shop
Abstract The wind load on the building depends on its shape and size, type of terrain, climatic region and a number of other factors. In accordance with Russian standards for buildings with a high level of responsibility, it is required to determine the wind load either experimentally in a wind tunnel, or using numerical simulation by ...

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.
