Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

PARP inhibitors elicit distinct transcriptional programs in homologous recombination competent castration‐resistant prostate cancer

PARP inhibitors are used to treat a small subset of prostate cancer patients. These studies reveal that PARP1 activity and expression are different between European American and African American prostate cancer tissue samples. Additionally, different PARP inhibitors cause unique and overlapping transcriptional changes, notably, p53 pathway upregulation.

The dominant way for producing lifting and propulsive force in natural flight is flapping (Pennycuick, 2008; Shyy et al., 1999). Unlike the most common aerial vehicles, in flapping flight, both lift and thrust forces are produced simultaneously by flapping wings.
