The effect of Aeromonas hydrophila infection on the non-specific immunity of blunt snout bream ( Megalobrama amblycephala ) [PDF]
Aeromonas hydrophila is the main reason of epidemic septicaemia for freshwater fish. In the present study, the effect of Aeromonas hydrophila infection on the non-specific immunity of blunt snout bream ( Megalobrama amblycephala ) was studied.

Decoding the Black Box of Fish Vaccines Efficacy in Basic and Applied Contexts
ABSTRACT Vaccines are the frontline defense in aquaculture, yet predicting their real‐world performance remains a tricky puzzle. Unlike terrestrial veterinary vaccines, fish vaccines largely operate through “Black Box” processes, where we observe the outcomes but rarely understand the underlying immune mechanisms. Laboratory trials, though informative,

Incidence and virulence characteristics of Aeromonas spp. in fish [PDF]
Aim: This study was conducted to evaluate the presence of Aeromonas spp. in raw and ready-to-eat (RTE) fish commonly consumed in Assiut city, Egypt, and to determine virulence factors due to they play a key role in their pathogenicity.

Type III protein secretion has been shown recently to be important in the virulence of the fish pathogen Aeromonas salmonicida. The ADP-ribosylating toxin Aeromonas exoenzyme T (AexT) is one effector protein targeted for secretion via this system.

Diverse Microbial Communities Assemble on Both Recalcitrant and Labile Carbon Sources
Taxonomically and functionally distinct communities assemble on cellulose and its monomer, glucose. Although single carbon sources were provided, high and comparable diversity was maintained in both environments, supported by extensive cross‐feeding and scavenging. However, glucose supported higher biomass than cellulose and selected generalists, while

Culture-independent methodologies to assess diversity and dynamics of Aeromonas communities
Mestrado em MicrobiologiaAs Aeromonas são bactérias autóctones em ambientes aquáticos e constituem um grave problema em sistemas de aquacultura devido à sua capacidade de provocar doença em peixes.

Dry Cleaning and Post‐Cleaning Strategies in Food Processing Facilities: A Scoping Review
ABSTRACT Effective dry cleaning and post‐cleaning treatments are essential for maintaining food safety in dry‐food processing environments where water use must be minimized. This scoping review mapped and synthesized empirical research on minimal‐water cleaning methods applied to industrial surfaces, focusing on their efficacy against microbial and ...
