Residential segregation by nationalities: A global and multilevel approach to Barcelona and Madrid (2008–2018)

open access: yesPopulation, Space and Place, Volume 29, Issue 5, July 2023., 2023

Reconstruction of daily global solar radiation under all‐sky and cloud‐free conditions in Badajoz (Spain) since 1929

open access: yesInternational Journal of Climatology, Volume 43, Issue 8, Page 3523-3537, 30 June 2023., 2023
We have analysed one of the earliest sunshine duration and cloud cover series in Spain. An effort to digitize early instrumental records has been made, apart from a reconstruction of daily global radiation from sunshine duration records since 1929, detecting an early brightening in 1929–1950, followed by dimming/brightening periods.

Lizard thermoregulation revisited after two decades of global warming

open access: yesFunctional Ecology, Volume 36, Issue 12, Page 3022-3035, December 2022., 2022
Read the free Plain Language Summary for this article on the Journal blog. Abstract Although the effects of global warming on thermoregulation are usually explored using predictions of climate envelop modelling, such effects should best be analysed empirically, studying the same population with the same methods after a long enough period of temperature

Relief and climate influence on isotopic composition of Atlantic‐Mediterranean karst spring waters (Andalusia, southern Spain)

open access: yesHydrological Processes, Volume 36, Issue 9, September 2022., 2022
Isotopic analysis of groundwater from Andalusian karst springs for 2H, 18O and deuterium excess showed differences between diffuse groundwater and meteoric waters isotopic composition. These differences are due to effects controlled by the great heterogeneity in the climate and relief in this territory.

Research Trends on Pillared Interlayered Clays (PILCs) Used as Catalysts in Environmental and Chemical Processes: Bibliometric Analysis

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, Volume 2022, Issue 1, 2022., 2022
Over the last four decades, a large number of studies have been published on pillared interlayered clays (PILCs) used as adsorbent materials and catalysts or supports for transition metals in heterogeneous catalysis. Particularly, PILCs have been used for water treatment through advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) to remove organic pollutants.
