Stewart’s Theorem and Median Property in the Galilean Plane

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Research in Natural and Applied Sciences, 2023
Galilean plane can be introduced in the affine plane, as in Euclidean plane. This means that the concepts of lines, parallel lines, ratios of collinear segments, and areas of figures are significant not only in Euclidean plane but also in Galilean plane.

Classification of N=2 supersymmetric CFT_{4}s: Indefinite Series

open access: yes, 2003
Using geometric engineering method of 4D $\mathcal{N}=2$ quiver gauge theories and results on the classification of Kac-Moody (KM) algebras, we show on explicit examples that there exist three sectors of $\mathcal{N}=2$ infrared CFT$_{4}$s.

Holomorphic Parabolic Geometries and Calabi-Yau Manifolds [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We prove that the only complex parabolic geometries on Calabi-Yau manifolds are the homogeneous geometries on complex tori.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

A Unified Approach to Aitchison’s, Dually Affine, and Transport Geometries of the Probability Simplex

open access: yesAxioms
A critical processing step for AI algorithms is mapping the raw data to a landscape where the similarity of two data points is conveniently defined. Frequently, when the data points are compositions of probability functions, the similarity is reduced to ...

Block-Graceful Designs

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2023
In this article, we adapt the edge-graceful graph labeling definition into block designs and define a block design V,B with V=v and B=b as block-graceful if there exists a bijection f:B⟶1,2,…,b such that the induced mapping f+:V⟶Zv given by f+x=∑x∈AA ...

Engineering of Quantum Hall Effect from Type IIA String Theory on The K3 Surface

open access: yes, 2010
Using D-brane configurations on the K3 surface, we give six dimensional type IIA stringy realizations of the Quantum Hall Effect (QHE) in 1+2 dimensions.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Torified varieties and their geometries over F_1

open access: yes, 2011
This paper invents the notion of torified varieties: A torification of a scheme is a decomposition of the scheme into split tori. A torified variety is a reduced scheme of finite type over $\Z$ that admits a torification. Toric varieties, split Chevalley
