Field cases of aflatoxicosis in pigs [PDF]

open access: yesAustralian Veterinary Journal, 1982
SUMMARY Five cases of aflatoxicosis in pigs in southern Queensland are described. One peracute case where aflatoxin concentrations of up to 5000μg aflatoxin B1/kg were demonstrated in stomach contents was presumed to be caused by consumption of mouldy bread. High levels of toxins were also present in the livers.

The Effect of Clay- and Yeast-Based Mycotoxin Binder on Performance, Lymphoid Organs, Blood Parameters, Immune Response and Haematology Parameters of Broilers Exposed to Aflatoxin B1. [PDF]

open access: yesVet Med Sci
Broilers fed diets contaminated with 200 µg/kg AFB1 showed poor growth performance throughout the period. These adverse effects of aflatoxicosis may be associated with liver dysfunction, immune dysfunction and inflammation of immune organs. However, supplementation of 1 g/kg MAG counteracted the negative effects caused by AFB1, reducing liver ...
