Introduction to Part IV: Environment, Territory, and AFNs
2018This chapter deals with AFNs’ relationship with the territory and the environment. Two sub-chapters address the environmental implications of AFNs and their territorial implications. The first sub-chapter examines the claims of AFNs’ superiority over conventional chains and presents empirical tests of the different chains’ environmental impact.
