Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Study of adsorption states in ZnO–Ag gas-sensitive ceramics using the ECTV curves method

open access: yesТехнологія та конструювання в електронній апаратурі, 2013
The ZnO–Ag ceramic system as the material for semiconductor sensors of ethanol vapors was proposed quite a long time ago. The main goal of this work was to study surface electron states of this system and their relation with the electric properties of ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Effect of the doping method on luminescent properties of ZnS:Ag

open access: yesSemiconductor Physics, Quantum Electronics & Optoelectronics, 2019
Effect of doping the method on luminescent characteristics of dispersed ZnS doped with Ag has been studied in this work. The analysis of ratio of the intensity of photoluminescence bands related with the centres caused by Ag impurity and the intrinsic ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Simultaneous Determination of Ag, W and Mo in Geochemical Exploration Samples by ICP-MS Using P507 Loaded Foam for Separation

open access: yesYankuang ceshi, 2014
When determining Ag in geochemical exploration samples by Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS), the molecular ions 91Zr16O and 93Nb16O can seriously interfere with the isotopes 107Ag and 109Ag and need to be separated out to obtain ...

Effect of Ag content on the performance of flexible Pd@carbon fiber catalysts for electrocatalytic oxidation of methanol

open access: yesXi'an Gongcheng Daxue xuebao
To enhance the electrocatalytic performance of the Pd catalyst for methanol, flexible PdAg@CFs catalysts were prepared using the impregnation reduction method with carbon fiber cloths (CFs) as the flexible carriers and Ag as the co-catalysts.In order to ...

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...
