Clinical Malaria along the China–Myanmar Border, Yunnan Province, China, January 2011–August 2012

Passive surveillance for malaria cases was conducted in Yunnan Province, China, along the China–Myanmar border. Infection with Plasmodium vivax and P. falciparum protozoa accounted for 69% and 28% of the cases, respectively. Most patients were adult men.
