Age-Gapped and Age-Condensed Lineages: Patterns of Intergenerational Age Structure among Canadian Families [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper examines intergenerational connections within Canadian families. Its focus is on intergenerational age structure, the interval or 'gap' in years that separates one generation from the next.

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

THE ONTOGENESIS AND AGE STRUCTURE OF COEPOPULATIONS OF CHAEROPHYLLUM AUREUM, AN ALIEN UMBELLIFERAE SPECIES OF CENTRAL RUSSIA IN THE SECONDARY HABITAT (MOSCOW REGION)

open access: yesRUDN Journal of Ecology and Life Safety, 2015
The ontogenesis, age structure of population and the potential seed production of Chaerophyllum aureum L . an actively spreading in Central Russia alien Umbelliferae species have been studied. As a result eight phases in the large life cycle of C. aureum

Are Young and Old Workers Harmful for Firm Productivity? [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper investigates the effects of the workforce age structure on the productivity of large Belgian firms. More precisely, it examines different scenarios of changes in the proportion of young (16-29 years), middle-aged (30-49 years) and old (more ...

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

A case study for best suitable methods of monitoring demographic structure in cervid populations to predict increasing forest damages

open access: yesSilva Fennica
The overall increase of ungulate populations in modern Europe has contributed to conflicts in national economies, particularly between game management and the forestry sector.
