Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Postoperative complications and prognosis in patients aged over 80 undergone gastroenterological surgery.

過去5年間に経験した80歳以上の消化器疾患全身麻酔手術例58例を対象に, 術後合併症, 予後に影響を及ぼす因子など, 高齢者手術例の臨床的特徴につき検討した. 80歳以上は全体の5.7%を占めその割合は増加傾向にあった. 疾患内容は悪性疾患が69.0%と多く, また緊急手術率は15.5%で胆管炎や腹膜炎などの感染を合併しているものが大半を占めていた. 41.4%に術後合併症を認め, 出血, 敗血症, 縫合不全などの重篤な合併症を有した3例が直死した.

Adenosine‐to‐inosine editing of miR‐200b‐3p is associated with the progression of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.
