Neuroimmune determinants of cognitive and psychological burden in post‐COVID syndrome: A cross‐sectional study in a Caucasian cohort

open access: yesPrecision Medical Sciences, Volume 15, Issue 3, Page 238-246, September 2026.
Systemic inflammatory burden (IL‐6, CRP) is strongly associated with neuropsychological dysfunction and functional impairment in post‐COVID syndrome. These findings support a neuroimmune‐linked pathway in long COVID and highlight inflammatory markers as potential tools for risk stratification and clinical monitoring.
