Influence of different biomaterials on the viability of Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans
Archives of Oral Biology, 2011The aim of the present in vitro study was to evaluate the effects of different biomaterials used for regenerative periodontal surgery on the growth of the periodontopathogen Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans.Three commercially available biomaterials of synthetic origin (hydroxyapatite/beta-tricalcium phosphate, nanostructured hydroxyapatite paste ...

[Cutaneous infection with Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans].
Der Hautarzt; Zeitschrift fur Dermatologie, Venerologie, und verwandte Gebiete, 2015Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans is a small, gram-negative, non-motile, coccobacillus. Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans is known to cause periodontal disease and to be associated with actinomycosis. We report a patient developed a chronic wound following trauma about the right heel.

[A case of mediastinum actinomycosis by Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans].
Revue de pneumologie clinique, 2017The actinomycosis is a suppurative infection due to an anaerobic and microaerophillic bacteria called actinomyces. Only few case reports are described for the mediastinal locations of this rare entity. We report a new case of inflammatory pseudotumor in the mediastinum due to Aggregatibacte actinomycetemcomitans revealed by hemoptysis.
