AIEgen configuration transition and aggregation enable dual prompt emission for single‐component nondoped white OLEDs

open access: yesAggregate
The dual emission (DE) feature in materials holds great potential to revolutionize the development of one‐component system white organic light‐emitting diodes (WOLEDs). However, the reported DE materials remain scarce owing to the formidable challenge of

One size does not fit all: An in vitro evaluation of the effects of bezafibrate and medroxyprogesterone acetate on human SH‐SY5Y and U‐87 MG cancer cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Drugs previously repurposed to target blood cancers reduced neuroblastoma and glioblastoma cell growth and viability. However, their levels of anticancer activity were different and their clinical application may be problematic due to side effects at effective doses.

Aggregation-induced emission photosensitizers: from molecular design to photodynamic therapy

open access: yes, 2020
Photodynamic therapy (PDT) has emerged as a promising noninvasive treatment option for cancers and other diseases. The key factor that determines the effectiveness of PDT is the photosensitizers (PSs).

Cyclic azapeptide CD36 ligand attenuates cardiac injury and reduces long‐chain fatty acid accumulation after myocardial ischemia–reperfusion in mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

Aggregation-Induced Emission in Phenothiazine–TPE and −TPAN Polymers

open access: yes, 2018
Two phenothiazine-based polymerstetraphenylethylene- (PTzTPE) and triphenylacrylonitrile-substituted (PTzTPAN) polyphenothiazineswere studied in organic solvents, solid state, and THF:water and dioxane:water mixtures to investigate the occurrence of ...

Achieving superior therapeutic effects on methicillin‐resistant Staphylococcus aureus infection via simple sulfonation process for preparing zwitterionic photosensitizer

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine
Drug‐resistant bacterial biofilm‐associated infections pose a significant threat to human health, as the physical barrier and protective matrix of biofilms enable bacterial evasion of antibiotic effects, leading to refractory infections.

Aggregation-Induced Emission in a Polymeric Photovoltaic Donor Material

open access: yes
In this work, we report the aggregation-induced emission in a polymeric donor material poly(bis(2-butyloctyl)[2,2′:5′,2″-terthiophene]-4,4″-dicarboxylate-5,5′-diyl-vinylene) (PTVT-T), which exhibits a high device performance for the application of ...
