The Choquet integral for the aggregation of interval scales in multicriteria decision making [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper addresses the question of which models fit with information concerning the preferences of the decision maker over each attribute, and his preferences about aggregation of criteria (interacting criteria).

Homogeneous Aggregation Operators [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Recently, the utilization of invariant aggregation operators, i.e., aggregation operators not depending on a given scale of measurement was found as a very current theme. One type of invariantness of aggregation operators is the homogeneity what means that an aggregation operator is invariant with respect to multiplication by a constant.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Frank Aggregation Operators for Triangular Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Set and Its Application in Multiple Attribute Group Decision Making

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2014
This paper investigates an approach to multiple attribute group decision-making (MAGDM) problems, in which the individual assessments are in the form of triangle interval type-2 fuzzy numbers (TIT2FNs).

How to score alternatives when criteria are scored on an ordinal scale [PDF]

open access: yes
We address in this paper the problem of scoring alternatives when they are evaluated with respect to several criteria on a finite ordinal scale $E$.

Complex Fuzzy Power Aggregation Operators

open access: yesMathematical Problems in Engineering, 2019
A complex fuzzy set is an extension of the fuzzy set, of which membership grades take complex values in the complex unit disk. We present two complex fuzzy power aggregation operators including complex fuzzy weighted power (CFWP) and complex fuzzy ordered weighted power (CFOWP) operators.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

AdaBatch: Efficient Gradient Aggregation Rules for Sequential and Parallel Stochastic Gradient Methods [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We study a new aggregation operator for gradients coming from a mini-batch for stochastic gradient (SG) methods that allows a significant speed-up in the case of sparse optimization problems.

An Accurate Method for Determining Hesitant Fuzzy Aggregation Operator Weights and Its Application to Project Investment

open access: yesInternational Journal of Intelligent Systems, 2014
As a generalization of fuzzy sets, hesitant fuzzy set is a very useful technique to represent decision makers’ hesitancy in decision making. Various hesitant fuzzy weighted operators have been developed to aggregate hesitant fuzzy information, but it ...

Bridging the gap: Multi‐stakeholder perspectives of molecular diagnostics in oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Although molecular diagnostics is transforming cancer care, implementing novel technologies remains challenging. This study identifies unmet needs and technology requirements through a two‐step stakeholder involvement. Liquid biopsies for monitoring applications and predictive biomarker testing emerge as key unmet needs. Technology requirements vary by
