A Novel Method Based on Extended Uncertain 2-tuple Linguistic Muirhead Mean Operators to MAGDM under Uncertain 2-Tuple Linguistic Environment

open access: yesInternational Journal of Computational Intelligence Systems, 2019
The present work is focused on multi-attribute group decision-making (MAGDM) problems with the uncertain 2-tuple linguistic information (ULI2–tuple) based on new aggregation operators which can capture interrelationships of attributes by a parameter ...

An Approach to Multi-Attribute Decision-Making for Olive Trees Plantation Site Selection Using Spherical Fuzzy Neutrality Aggregation Operators

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
We introduce the concept of spherical fuzzy neutral aggregation operators by utilizing neutral addition and scalar multiplication operational laws. Spherical fuzzy set (SFS) is an effective tool for handling cognitive uncertainty in decision-making (DMg),

Evaluation of optimization techniques for aggregation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Aggregations are almost always done at the top of operator tree after all selections and joins in a SQL query. But actually they can be done before joins and make later joins much cheaper when used properly.

Differential Privacy for Relational Algebra: Improving the Sensitivity Bounds via Constraint Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Differential privacy is a modern approach in privacy-preserving data analysis to control the amount of information that can be inferred about an individual by querying a database.

Crosstalk between the ribosome quality control‐associated E3 ubiquitin ligases LTN1 and RNF10

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of the E3 ligase LTN1, the ubiquitin‐like modifier UFM1, or the deubiquitinating enzyme UFSP2 disrupts endoplasmic reticulum–ribosome quality control (ER‐RQC), a pathway that removes stalled ribosomes and faulty proteins. This disruption may trigger a compensatory response to ER‐RQC defects, including increased expression of the E3 ligase RNF10 ...

Function‐driven design of a surrogate interleukin‐2 receptor ligand

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Interleukin (IL)‐2 signaling can be achieved and precisely fine‐tuned through the affinity, distance, and orientation of the heterodimeric receptors with their ligands. We designed a biased IL‐2 surrogate ligand that selectively promotes effector T and natural killer cell activation and differentiation. Interleukin (IL) receptors play a pivotal role in

Extensions of Dombi Aggregation Operators for Decision Making under m-Polar Fuzzy Information

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2020
An m-polar fuzzy set is a powerful mathematical model to analyze multipolar, multiattribute, and multi-index data. The m-polar fuzzy sets have appeared as a useful tool to portray uncertainty in multiattribute decision making. The purpose of this article

Confinement by biased velocity jumps: aggregation of Escherichia coli [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We investigate a linear kinetic equation derived from a velocity jump process modelling bacterial chemotaxis in the presence of an external chemical signal centered at the origin.

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

A Bibliometric Review of the Ordered Weighted Averaging Operator

open access: yesMathematics
The ordered weighted averaging (OWA) operator was proposed by Yager back in 1988 and constitutes a parameterized family of aggregation functions between the minimum and the maximum.
